A loving 4-year-old child from California is now in a coma after ingesting a button battery, her parents confirmed.
Cassandra, who is the mother of the child named Camila Romero, revealed how something so tiny caused something so big, and that has blown their minds.
{img}Camila's parents mentioned how they had never heard of button batteries and didn't know how their child got one. But it has since then burned a hole through her gut, leaving her in a medically induced coma at Loma Linda Childrens' hospital for the past two weeks.
{img}The exact location where the hole is located is one that is near where her lungs are present, and that is only about an eighth of an inch from one another.
When she and Romero first brought their daughter to the hospital, doctors assumed the child's symptoms were consistent with a virus due to the four-year-old arriving with a serious fever. But soon after that, they realized what was wrong.
